Virginia Dike is a professor and head of the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Nigeria. She grew up in the United States in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has a BA in History from Harvard University and an MA in Education and an MSc in Library Science, both from Columbia University. She is an American by birth and Nigerian by marriage and has five children.
